When can I request to transfer my mobile phone number?
At the time you sign a new contract with Orange. Please don't forget to tick the box 'I wish to keep my mobile
phone number(s)...'
Please check your contract expiry date, and request the transfer of your mobile phone number maximum 120 days
before your contract ends.

Which documents do I need to bring?
Please bring a valid ID, passport or work permit. You can also bring your current contract.
Who can sign the mobile phone number transfer request?
Only the person who signed (legal holder) the contract with the current operator.
In case you are not the legal holder, you will need to have the transfer request form signed by the legal owner.
What is the transfer request form (Power of Attorney)?
The Power of Attorney is an annex to your Orange contract that authorises Orange to transfer your mobile phone
number on your behalf.
Can I speed up my number transfer?
Yes. You can leave your current provider without respecting the full contract duration. State the date you would
like the transfer to become effective on the transfer request form. Please note that your current operator may
continue charging you until the end of the contract.
Do I need to cancel my current contract?
No. When the number transfer is accepted by your current operator, your contract will automatically be cancelled.
Do I need to inform my current operator that I am joining Orange?
No, Orange will do this for you.
How much does it cost?
The number transfer is free of charge.
What should I do to make the transfer easier?
- Pay all your pending bills with current operator
- Your current number must be active
- Legal holder has to fill in and sign the transfer form
Decide if you want to respect your current contract date or leave your current operator earlier, and make sure that you request the transfer of your mobile phone number at least 120 days before your contract ends.

What documents do I need to bring with me?
Please bring your identity card, your passport or your valid work permit. You can also bring your current contract with you.
Who is authorised to sign a request to transfer a mobile phone number?
Only the person who signed the contract agreed with the current provider (holder of the subscription).
If you are not the holder of the subscription in question, you will need to ask the holder of the subscription to sign the transfer request.
What is the transfer request form (proxy form)?
The proxy form is an appendix to your Orange contract authorising Orange to transfer your mobile phone number on your behalf.
Can I arrange for my mobile phone number to be transferred more quickly?
Yes. You can leave your current provider without waiting for the end of the contractual period of your subscription. Please indicate the date on which you would like the transfer to be carried out on the transfer request form. However, please note that your current provider may continue to charge you until the end of your contract.
Do I need to terminate my current contract?
No. Once the transfer of your number is accepted by your current provider, your contract will be terminated automatically.
Do I need to tell my current provider that I am going to join Orange?
No, Orange will take care of this for you.

- All of your outstanding bills with your current provider must be paid.
- Your current number must be active.
- The holder of the subscription must complete and sign the request form.

- To do this, simply send a free SMS from your mobile phone with your old SIM card to short number 499 with the word 'Yes' in the message.
How does the transfer take place?
A series of four SMS will be sent to you as different stages are completed:
- Confirmation of the date on which your provider will transfer your number.
- Reminder that the transfer will take place within 24 hours. Do not insert your Orange SIM card yet.
- Request to replace your current SIM card with the Orange PrePay SIM card.
- Confirmation that your number has been transferred successfully and that you are now an Orange customer.
