When you are in a meeting, at a business lunch or on your way to see a customer, there is always a chance that someone might try to give you a call. You want to reply immediately to the person calling you but without disturbing your immediate environment or the other people in your proximity.

SMS Response is an innovative service specifically developed for this kind of situation. In just a few clicks, your caller is informed by SMS why you are currently unavailable. At the same time your caller can leave a voice message on your Orange Box so that you are informed about the reason for his call. Thanks to an extremely intuitive SMS menu which opens automatically every time you reject a call, this service helps you to manage your calls even more quickly and easily than before.

SMS Response is free and available for all Business subscriptions with any next generation SIM card from Orange.

The price of each SMS depends on your subscription.

This option is currently not compatible with mobile phones, which use Microsoft Windows Mobile such as HTC and LG.

SMS Response is pre-installed on the next generation SIM cards provided by Orange and automatically available on all new Orange mobile phones.

If you need a next generation SIM card, please contact the Fleet Manager in your company. The price of a SIM card without a mobile phone depends on your subscription.


This option is currently not compatible with mobile phones that use Microsoft Windows Mobile, including HTC and LG.

With the option SMS Response, any caller you are unable to answer immediately will*:

  • receive an SMS so that he understands why you are currently not available
  • simultaneously be redirected to your Orange Box so that he can leave you a voice message

Of course you can still always answer your calls directly or simply allow your phone to ring unanswered.

Step 1
Someone tries to call you and you reject the call

Step 2
SMS Response menu opens and the caller is directed to your Orange Box

You select a pre-edited SMS which you can first modify if you wish

You then send the SMS to the person who tried to call you

special note for iPhone customers

When you get an incoming call and your iPhone is locked, press down on the 'power' button at the top of your iPhone for approx. 1 to 2 seconds to open the menu.

  • SMS Response only works with incoming mobile calls
  • SMS Response does not work when the caller has hidden his mobile phone number
