recharge your PrePay account

There are 3 ways of recharging your PrePay account from abroad:

  1. Dial +41 78 700 5555 from your own phone or +41 78 700 4444 from any other phone and press connect. Listen to the instructions. You need to purchase a PrePay recharge card before leaving Switzerland
  2. Online using the PrePay recharge service on orange.ch at any time with a credit card
  3. Call +41 78 700 7000 and recharge with your credit card (+41 78 700 00 10 for OrangeClick Prepay and My Prepay)

PrePay recharge cards are only available in Switzerland. Do not forget to buy as many as you may need before you leave.

With standard PrePay you can also recharge by call back by dialling *122# and pressing connect. This applies when you are not in the areas not included in direct dialling (see country list above).

  1. Receipt of SMS is free of charge.
  2. When people call you on your Orange number when you are abroad, you are charged for the international part of the call, between Switzerland and the country you are visiting. This charging principle applies for all mobile operators, due to the fact that the caller may not know you are abroad and it would not be fair to charge them for the international part of the call.
  3. When near the borders of Switzerland or Liechtenstein, or by lakes or mountains, your phone may automatically connect to a German, Italian, Austrian or French network. If this happens, you will be charged the price for that zone. To avoid this, manually select the Orange network. Your phone's screen will display which network you are on.
  4. National and local free phone numbers (0800-) are not accessible from abroad for PrePay.
  5. When you're abroad, calls transferred to your Orange Box when your line's busy or you aren't answering are billed twice. To avoid these additional charges, you can divert all your calls directly to your Orange Box.
  6. MMS charges include the international roaming charges over data (CSD) and the normal cost for sending an MMS. International roaming charges are incurred both for receiving or sending an MMS.
  7. All prices are VAT inclusive.

Orange Box

Your Orange Box works wherever you are on the globe and you can call it from any place in the world!

However, when you listen to your messages from some networks you might hear your own personal greeting. If this happens, just type # and enter your 4 DIGIT Orange Box PASSWORD followed by #.

While you are abroad, calls diverted to your Orange Box when you are busy or do not answer your phone, are charged twice: for the transfer of the call to the country where you travel (incoming calls), and for its transfer back to your Orange Box in Switzerland (calls to Switzerland). As an Orange PrePay using your mobile phone menu, you can avoid these charges by diverting all calls directly to your Orange Box so that the calls are not sent abroad. Alternatively, you can ask the assistance of our Customer Care to deactivate all your call diverts.

This service also works when calling your Orange Box to listen to your messages. To call your Orange Box once you travel abroad, simply use the short key of your mobile phone 1# YES (101# YES for Motorola phones) or dial directly the Orange Box number +41 86 078 XXX XX XX.
