The Federal Council has decided that PrePay cards must be registered as per 1.11.2002 and amended the ordinance on surveillance services accordingly. With this measure, the legislator intends to reduce the misuse of PrePay cards.

how should you proceed when registering?
Registration for PrePay customers is free, fast and completely straightforward:
- Bring a valid passport or identity card when buying a PrePay SIM card. A driver's licence is not accepted as an identification document.
- Drop in personally to one of the shop where you want to buy a PrePay SIM card.
- Your personal data will then be verified and recorded.
