Since 15 March 2011, Orange Box and Orange Box Professional have been combined to offer you a simple and complete voicemail service, free of charge.

All new Orange subscribers can now enjoy the features of Orange Box Professional free of charge: receiving faxes, message transfer and pre-recording, increased storage capacity and two personal greetings.

important information on call charges

Calls are billed by the minute and the costs depend on your subscription.

When you call someone who has left you a message directly from your Orange Box, your connection stays active, as you can press * to cancel the call and return to your Orange Box to access your other messages. This is thus a double call and you will be charged accordingly.

When you travel abroad, calls transferred to your Orange Box when you are not available or cannot answer will be charged twice . The first billing relates to the call to your mobile phone abroad; the second corresponds to the call transfer from your location at the time to your voicemail, in conformance with international GSM standards.

If you are a new Orange customer, your Orange Box will be available automatically, free of charge.

From my account, you can manage your Orange Box online free of charge: activate or deactivate it, change your PIN code or even change the language of the service.

  1. Accessing your messages
    An SMS notification will inform you of the arrival of new messages or faxes*. All you have to do is select the Orange Box number in the SMS to listen to your message.
    • From your mobile phone, dial your Orange Box number, i.e. 086, followed by your number (for example, 086 078 123 45 67).
    • From any other mobile or fixed-line phone, dial your Orange Box number. As soon as you hear your welcome message, press *. You will be prompted to enter your Orange Box PIN code, and to confirm by pressing the # key.
  2. Creating a personal greeting
    Call your Orange Box. Press 2 to select 'personal options' and follow the voice instructions. When they hear your personal greeting, callers will know that they have reached your voicemail.

  3. Orange Box password
    You will need a password to access your Orange Box from any other mobile or fixed phone and sometimes when calling your Orange Box from abroad. You can create a new one whenever you want (even if you don't remember the old one) by calling your Orange Box. Select 2 (personal options) and then select 3 (password). For your security, please avoid passwords with 4 times the same number or consecutive numbers (e.g. 1111 or 1234).

  4. Options for receiving and printing faxes*
    Receive faxes directly on your mobile phone. Tell people to send faxes to your Orange Box number (086 07x xxx xxxx). To retrieve them is easy.
    • call your Orange Box
    • you will be told if you have received a fax
    • when prompted, press 4 to retrieve the fax
    • you will be given the option to either print to a default number pre-defined by you, or to a different number, defined by you at that time
  5. Pre-record a voice message*
    Do you always forget to wish happy birthday? Or you want to be the first one? Record your message now, and Orange Box will send it for you at the right moment! To pre-record a message to anyone in the world and send it either immediately, or at a later date and time:
    • call your Orange Box number
    • access 'main menu'
    • select 'to send a voice message', press 3
    • follow voice instructions
  6. Forward / Reply to a voice message*
    Forward a message received to another user:
    • after listening to a message you can transfer it by pressing 6
    • you may also record comments to send with the message

    Reply to a message directly from your Orange Box:

    • to record an immediate answer to the message, press 8
  7. Storage capacity

    PostPay customers
    Unheard messages are kept for 32 days before being deleted.
    Heard messages are kept for 6 days before being deleted.
    Capacity of 2 hours.

    Prima, Orange Comfort and PrePay customers
    Unheard messages are kept for 16 days before being deleted.
    Heard messages are kept for 3 days before being deleted.
    Capacity of 1 hours.

  8. Call Forwarding
    To set up call forwarding on your phone, enter the following: **004*+4186[your number]# and then press the Call button.
