111 replaced by 1818

As of end of 2006, the number to ring for directory enquiries is no longer 111 due to an opening up of the market. The new number for enquiries is 1818 and is backed by a strong alliance made up of Orange, Sunrise, Cablecom.

Simply call 1818 (only in Switzerland) to make up to two national or international enquiries.

Following the call, the information is confirmed by SMS. Ask for a direct connection to the requested number whenever you wish.

Calls cost CHF 1.69, plus CHF 0.79 for the first minute and CHF 0.19 for each subsequent minute (for PrePay customers CHF 1.69 per call plus CHF 0.79 per minute). Additional charges apply according to your Orange price plan.

• To find out a phone number and full postal address, send the person's last name and location to 1818 (only in Switzerland). First name, street and category can be added if available.
• '*' can be used to add a wildcard. Example request for Hans Muster in Zürich: Must* Hans Zür*
• For international enquiries, the town or country can be prefixed by the country abbreviation, separated by a dash (e.g. D-Berlin for Germany)
• To find a name or an address, simply send the phone number to 1818
